Going out on tour can be an exciting endeavor. Especially when you’re Seth Haley aka Com Truise, promoting a new album for the first time in six years. Arriving on June 16, ‘Iteration’ is a collection of tracks written from personal experience, as Seth’s puts it. “It’s basically like I’m scoring this film in my head, but that film I’m scoring is also somehow my life.” From all accounts and teasers, it’s classic Com Truise, laying out “neon-streaked melodies, big drums, robotic grooves and bleary nostalgia” and tells a story of “longing, hope, anxiety, and triumph.”
Pair that with Clark‘s deep and haunting live show, a melding of choreography and trembling beats laid out along to tunes from his highly acclaimed ‘Death Peaks’ LP released in April via Warp Records. Altogether, you’ve got quite an all out Audio/Visual experience making it’s way to Brooklyn this Thursday.
While waiting, we’ve asked both artists to put together a playlist of tracks that get them motivated and inspired when enduring those long hours out on the road. Take a listen to these considered selections before grabbing tickets to see them 5/25 @ Warsaw.
