Oh Malô
Oh Malô
Oh Malô (oh-muh-LOW) presents colorful soundscapes through their eclecticism and dynamic arrangements. Delicate vocal melodies are met with intertwining ambient guitars and driven by powerful, aggressive drums. Oh, Malô pulls influence from such bands as Bombay Bicycle Club, Radiohead, Local Natives, Daughter, and Jeff Buckley to create a consistently unpredictable blend of timbres and arrangements.

Founded in 2014, the band completed the writing of their debut LP in a mere three months. The summer of 2014 was spent recording and refining these songs in anticipation of their exciting new releases in 2015. They created a fluctuating story through their music and subsequently released three color-themed EPs, each representing the dynamic mental and emotional stages following an intense breakup. The six songs from these EPs will be joined with another six unreleased tracks to complete their debut LP, available September 8th, 2015.

Covey
Covey
Covey is an indie folk rock project fronted by British multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, Tom Freeman. Since relocating to the United States for school in 2010, he has managed to connect with listeners across the world through his soul-baring lyrics and raw vocals.

A songwriter for 9 years, Freeman has lived in many places throughout his life including England, Hong Kong, and Indonesia. Moving from place to place caused him to explore a wide breadth of cultures and influenced him artistically. This breadth of experience was implemented into his music at an early age, and lead to experimentation with different genres such as folk, rock, punk, indie, and electronic. Freeman eventually found a voice and a home in Boston, Massachusetts, where the Covey project was born.

Ultimately influenced by a wide variety of genres, Covey’s sound has a distinct personality. Folky lyrical driven songwriting is complimented by textures of synth and distorted guitar. As described by Sound of Boston, the vocals are “relaxed, natural, and infectiously uplifting”. Musical influences range from artists such as Blink-182, Nick Drake, and Neutral Milk Hotel.
