Paul Kalkbrenner
Paul Kalkbrenner
Paul Kalkbrenner’s eighth album, Parts Of Life (released May 18), comes a decade after his Double Platinum selling LP Berlin Calling, and feels similarly definitive for an artist who has spent the last 10 years topping charts and performing his singular strain of grand techno to ever growing audiences.
Parts of Life, follows Paul’s Back To The Future trilogy, chronicling the arrival of techno in Berlin in the late 80s. It’s clear those raw, stripped down early recordings left their mark. Parts of Life feels lean and elemental but big and joyful, it’s a timeless record marked by invigoration.

This is Paul’s most personal and revealing work, delivered in its purest form. Each track is simply titled with the working file number used in production. The album’s still life cover, painted over a two year period by Paul’s uncle Paul Eisel, offers another glimpse of Paul, depicting a series of unique personal objects.

The video for ‘Part Three’ was recorded at the live show rehearsals in Berlin.
Juan Atkins
Juan Atkins
Born: December 9, 1962.

A major electronic music pioneer from Detroit, Juan appeared behind aliases such as Cybotron, Model 500, and Infiniti releasing many classics of Detroit techno.

The 1982 electro track "Clear", recorded by Atkins and Rick Davis as Cybotron, is often considered the first proto-techno track. Continuing to experiment by fusing the extra-terrestrial funk of Parliament Funkadelic with the futuristic rhythms and hard math of Kraftwerk and the progressive dance theorems proposed by Giorgio Moroder, the Model 500 12"s on his own label Metroplex laid the blueprint for Detroit techno.

Along with the tracks made by two schoolmates from the grade below, Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson, Detroit techno quickly made its way across the atlantic and immediately sparked the emerging rave culture and soon after the entire global dance community.

Moving through the later 1980's as Model 500, Atkins continued as one of the most prolific and sought after producers of electronic music throughout the 1990's, culminating in the use of an Atkins' original as the musical bed for the 2000 launch of the Ford Focus 'Detroit Techno' automobile.

Packing clubs nationally from Detroit to NYC, internationally from London to Venezuela, Juan has mastered the art of soaking up new rhythmic elements from contemporary dance music while keeping his unerring, instantly recognizable sense of melody intact.

Much discussed and anthologized not only for his 20 years of production credit but also for his ability to rock a dance floor, Juan Atkins' music and DJ-ing is deified in Europe and embraced all over the world. Juan has also been prolifically releasing albums, remixes and collaborations on Belgium's R & S Records, Germany's Tresor, and others.
John Barera
John Barera
John Barera has been a firm disciple of the Techno and House world for the past 10 years, and after co-founding Supply Records in 2011 & Jack Dept in 2014 has brought an elegant, resoundingly universal mixture of underground club tracks to the fore.

As a DJ John always puts in a little extra work to keep the dance floor engaged and the party special. Always collecting and listening to records of all kinds, his sets have been known to go over well. Groove Magazine, Resident Advisor, Fact Mag, XLR8R and Little White Earbuds have all spoken well of his work and he has been invited to play alongside artists such as Stacey Pullen, Optimo, Juan Atkins, Floating Points, Jimmy Edgar, Daniel Bell, Andrés, Martyn, Faltydl, and Bicep. John is currently holding down a residency at Boston's long-running Make it New party and at Bossa Nova Civic Club in Brooklyn.

When he's not DJing, John is hard at work in the studio. Outside of Supply Records, he has released music on labels like Dolly, Dirt Crew Recordings, Soul Clap, Ortloff, Jackoff and Ecstasy records. His project B-Tracks, alongside label partner Soren Jahan, has also released four EPs so far. Barera released an exclusive track on Steffi's Panorama Bar Mix CD on Ostgut Ton and loaned his remixing talents to labels like EDEC, Sincopat and End of Dayz. His productions have been supported by Doc Martin, Ben UFO, Jonas Kopp, Kai Alcé, Jacques Renault, Serge, nd_baumecker, Andrew Grant, Moomin, Clockwork, La Fleur, DJ Three, Detroit Swindle and many other respected artists.

In October of 2014, John released his well-received debut album 'Graceless' alongside Will Martin on Dolly and they begun to play live sets together.
