Tomato Dodgers
Tomato Dodgers
Tomato Dodgers are on a mission to make live music as strange and powerful an experience as possible.

From the very beginning, they knew they were tapping into something strange and strong. From marathon house parties to packed shows at DC clubs like the Rock And Roll Hotel, they bring their audiences to astounded, joyous applause, night after night. 2016 Presidential candidate Martin O’Malley performed with the band at their second show.

They have a seventh band member in the form of a six-foot orange mannequin named Jeaux-Phred, space messiah extraordinaire. They feed each other toast. They create entire songs on the spot. They tap-dance, swing dance, and salsa with audience members. They leap from 20-foot embankments and build time machines onstage during their sets. They blur the line between stage show and immersive art piece in a way that people don’t soon forget. They’re unpredictable, but always electric.

Tomato Dodgers book their own tours and write their own songs. Through rigorous touring of their participatory performances, they’ve steadily built up a fascinated following across the United States.

In the summer of 2016, they toured the United States for seven weeks - a monumental feat for a DIY band. This past May, they threw their own music festival. 2017 saw the band playing shows with Lionize, a headlining tour South Korea and Japan, selling out DC’s iconic Rock And Roll Hotel on Halloween, and finishing their highly-anticipated full-length album.

Some bands come to make people sway gently in place. Tomato Dodgers come to impart a musical covenant as twisted and unknowable as the great black hole at the center of our solar system.

They will not rest until they perform on the moon.

Taking Meds
Taking Meds
Taking Meds formed in 2012 in Rochester, NY and consists of Skylar Sarkis, Ben Kotin, Jon Markson, and Dan Abzug. The project began when Kotin and Sarkis were on tour with their other band, Such Gold, and started to write lyrics over some of Kotin’s math rock inspired riffs. They soon added Markson to the group and recorded their first three songs in then-drummer Matt Battle's Rochester apartment. These songs were released as the band’s first demo.

What began as a side project in the interest of promoting creative freedom for the four musicians quickly became powerful live act, combining intricate, Braid-like riffs with an intensity akin to At the Drive-In. Their debut LP, sardonically titled My Life as a Bro, was released in 2017.
