Weekend Money
Readying for the much anticipated release of their debut EP Naked
City, New York City’s Weekend Money has released their third single,
“Yellow”. The song, with it’s pounding bass, wailing sirens and
addicting hand claps, sees producer Baghdaddy channeling his inner
Timbaland while quick witted lyricist Ne$$ (a member of the dead prez
affiliated group A-Alikes) continues to give listeners an all access
pass to NYC street life. “Yellow” is the follow up to previous Naked
City singles “Insomniac” and “Coke’N’Coffee” which earned the duo
praise from the likes of VIBE, XXL, Okayplayer and 2dopeboyz. Weekend
Money’s patented genre blurring mix of hip hop and electronic music
has already made them an act to watch and with the release of Naked
City many more are sure to catch on.
