We’re in need of interns this upcoming season to assist in talent buying, marketing/promotion, and business development.

We are looking for someone who is genuinely thoughtful and passionate about music, and is active in the Brooklyn music community. You must be reliable, responsible, organized, and accountable. In addition, you must have drive, be capable of independent thought, and take ownership of your work in order to push tasks to completion in a fast-paced start-up environment. You must also be a clear communicator and a strong, inventive writer.

If that sounds like you, here’s what we have to offer: actual work across talent buying, communications, and operations working directly with the company’s tight-knit group of experienced and ambitious partners. You will learn first-hand what it means to run a start-up promotions company. You’ll also go to shows and events all over the city, building your network. Yes, it will be part of your role to go to shows and events. The role will be fast-paced and demanding.

We have a lot of IKEA chairs here and a very high tolerance for people who won’t shut up about music.

Responsibilities could include any or all of the following, based on experience, ability, and interest:

– Researching artists and previous show history
– Drafting and editing social media marketing
– Drafting and editing press releases
– Conducting interviews, writing show reviews and news posts
– Data collection and analytics
– General office duties
– Going to awesome shows, listening to rad music

We need someone 15 – 20 hours a week. Class credit is available. Start and end dates are flexible but preference will be given to those who can make full season-long commitments.

If you’re up for the challenge, reach out to and include: (1) a resume, (2) a cover letter that conveys your passion and experience, and (3) two writing samples.
