Lemonade‘s recent single “Dancer On The Shore” reminds us, if nothing else, that summer is not yet over.
This feel-good track embeds itself like sand between your toes and the comfortable wedgie of a high-leg Baywatch swimsuit. “Dancer on the Shore” pings with tropical electronica and hollowed 80’s percussion, a perfect fusion of Goldroom and Tanlines. Dee Dee from Dum Dum Girls contributes to the hazy vocals, echoing Callan Clendenin’s curiosity about the femme mirage: “Tell me, have you seen the dancer in the spray / On top of the wave / That’s cresting?”
In the SoundCloud description, Lemonade explains: “’Dancer’ is not a grand statement, but rather a celebration of the space where humans and nature exist in harmony.”
You can catch the last wave of summer with Lemonade at a DJ set before Bag Raiders on September 9 at Baby’s All Right.
