Budding electronic duo Kllo first stepped into the limelight with their Cusp EP, released on Australian imprint Dot Dash Recordings. Melbourne-born cousins Simon Lam and Chloe Kaul now return with a stunning new EP, Well Worn, which marks their first release as a part of the eclectic Ghostly International family.
Well Worn is a flawless electronic-pop production featuring warm vocals and emotive lyrics. The EP starts out with “Walls To Build” – a synth driven track elevated with a xylophone melody that intertwines with Chloe’s silky vocals. “Bolide” captures KLLO’s club potential by showing off their authentic UK garage influences through syncopated snare rhythms and a pitch-shifted vocal sample, “I’ll be gone baby.” The last three tracks of the EP reflect the duo’s prowess for tracks that are remarkably touching, while revealing their production talents for a wide array of rhythms and sounds.
Catch KLLO’s NYC debut at Baby’s All Right on December 8 and listen to Well Worn below.
