Miami Horror’s Guide to Latin America

Miami Horror began in 2008 as a solo project by Australian producer Benjamin Plant. After releasing one EP on his own, Plant recruited Joshua Moriarty, and Daniel Whitechurch to turn the project into a full-fledged band. Today, Miami Horror play disco-tinged electropop that nods to the past but keeps a firm foot in the future. This year’s EP The Shapes saw the group introducing a more retro flavor to their consistently sunny melodies, this time fusing them with ‘80s synth and David Byrne-worthy vocal soliloquies. Musical growth notwithstanding, the success of their last two albums has taken Miami Horror all over the world–from a string of South American festival appearances to a recent mini-tour of Colombia.

We asked them to list some of their favorite spots from these trips ahead of their ‘The Shapes Block Party’ @ The Well this Saturday 8/19!
