Lakker (LIVE) - Tundra A/V
Lakker (LIVE) - Tundra A/V
Since the early 2000s, Dara (aka Arad) and Ian (aka Eomac) have been the brains behind the slugged out, bass heavy electronic outfit ‘Lakker’. Both originating from Ireland, but currently based in Berlin, they paint intricate sonic tapestries ranging from haunting Arctic soundscapes to bass driven warehouse weight. Heavily inspired by the chopped up, processed sounds of the 90s, their humanist slant on electronic music has received support from the likes of Aphex Twin, Laurent Garnier, Lucy, Blawan and Surgeon. In the last few years Lakker have received high praise for their numerous releases on Killekill, Blueprint (one of Britain’s most influential techno labels), Love Love, Candela Rising, Stroboscopic Artefacts and most recently on acclaimed Belgian label R&S Records with the ‘Containing a Thousand’ and ‘Mountain Divide’ EPs and forthcoming long player ‘Tundra’. Moreover, they have a distinctive visual style, reflected in their AV show, where subtle changes in the music are reflected in the patient and detailed morphing of original self-evolving visual content, each show being a unique experience. This distinctive style has recieved support from creative hubs such as ‘CDM’.
Gunnar Haslam
Gunnar Haslam
DJ and musician from New York. 1/2 of Romans (w/ Tin Man), 1/3 of Hot Mix (w/ Mike Servito and Justin Cudmore).

New Yorker Gunnar Haslam is a rare talent with a unique intellect. Trained in particle physics and signal processing , he first began DJing and producing music as an undergraduate at NYU. He met Ron Morelli, the founder of L.I.E.S. records, while shopping at A1 Records in the East Village and Ron released Gunnar’s first record in 2013, the highly-acclaimed Mimesiak LP. Since this first release, he’s been highly prolific, putting his career as a physicist on the back burner while going deeper into the world of synths and maintaining a steady outpouring of music spanning acid, techno, ambient and home listening. You have probably heard or danced along to one of his multiple EPs on Delsin, Argot, Mister Saturday Night and Efdemin's Naïf label, or are familiar with his collaborative work with Tin Man as Romans, who released an EP and recent LP on The Bunker New York.

Since he first began playing out locally while still in school, Haslam has quickly become a fixture in New York’s underground scene, frequently playing The Bunker and Bossa Nova Civic Club, while also maintaining a busy schedule of touring as a DJ and a live performer all over the world. Recently, he has been playing alongside Justin Cudmore and Mike Servito in a collaborative, long-form DJ crew known as Hot Mix. Spanning genres in his productions and growing through collaborations with other artists, it’s easy to see that Gunnar’s music is often about the journey, rather than the destination. In his own words: “Music is the one place where I can do whatever feels right, and just let it all happen.”
Aquarian
Aquarian
Hybrid, mutated strains of rave music with influence from the sounds of Detroit, London and New York – Aquarian makes raw, arresting and immediate music aimed squarely at the dance floor. His sound draws from both sides of the Atlantic, combining drexcyian electro, old school jungle and UK grime with vertical singularity. The Canadian-born, Brooklyn-based artist stormed out of the gate in 2012 with a trio of records for UNO NYC. In 2014, his highly acclaimed, self-titled EP cemented him as an artist to watch, while landing him a mix on Resident Advisor's coveted podcast series.
Since then, he has launched his own culinary-rave imprint, Hanger Management, inaugurated with two of his most exhilarating and ferocious productions to date. Resident Advisor described it as "Aquarian at his best: searing club melodrama, built from whip-crack breaks, ground-splitting bass and acrid techno adornments." His experimental-leaning cassette for Quiet Time tapes released soon after garnered similar accolades, swapping his signature bangers for an "exploration of moody and drifting machinery...through droning ambience, footwork and acid, pausing between each phase with spacious atmospheres painted in cold, dark strokes"
