Prism House
Prism House
Prism House is a Brooklyn-based collective of like-minded artists looking to create unique projects in a digital age. The group was originally founded in 2011 by Matt O’Hare and Pia Blumenthal with the goal of creating an immersive and engaging performance environment encompassing improvised live visuals and ambient electronic drones.
Within a short period of time, the group added Brian Wenner who has since taken on musical duties with O’Hare performing visuals at live events. The result is refreshing in an age of pre-arranged live performances and laptop DJ aesthetics. While the core elements of the group remain intact, the scope of Prism House has widened to include Wenner’s obsessions within field recordings and O’Hare’s affinity for found visual art.
Curved Light
Ambiet music of Peter Tran, based in Austin, TX. Formerly of the Washington DC band, Hume.
Birds of Prey
Birds of Prey
Birds of Prey is an ever-evolving process of chaos, immediacy, and necessity. Like an organism emerging from the sea to walk on land for the first time, there is no grand plan, and no going back. The story of the group's friendship in many ways mirrors their method. They were brought together by a shared fascination with the sublime potential of electricity to generate something unknown, and a mutual trust that a path would reveal itself as they move forward through the dark. Originally conceived and composed live in Brooklyn, Birds of Prey is a collaboration of live electronics by Grant Aaron, Eric Holmes, Camille Altay, and Clay Wilson.
Squelcher
Squelcher
Squelcher is a Boston based electronic project from a pair of long time musical collaborators John Perotti and Matt Reed. They’ve recently released a full length self-titled album on the newly minted record label Moon Villain. The record is a collection of 9 tracks, all composed and recorded with the use of hardware synthesizers, sequencers, live percussion and vocal and percussion sampling. In addition to a recent US/Canadian tour, Squelcher has been busy performing their take on the score of Chris Marker's La Jetée, as well as several improvisational performances in the Boston area.
